Unni sketched this artwork last week while she was sitting at the table finishing breakfast. When asked to tell us about her art, she said the top one was a snake and the bottom one was a penguin. Fairly impressive rendition of those animals, in this mom’s (maybe not so) humble opinion.
Ever think you took too many photos? Well, I did the day we went to the Museum of History. But, as I’m trying to write this post, I’m wishing I had taken more. Anyway, we hadn’t been to the museum for a long time and it was a great change from our usual haunts. The girls first completed a paper lighthouse craft and learned about one of the lighthouses that had to be moved inland because of erosion. Unni could have explored more exhibits but Koma wasn’t crazy about the darkened rooms. So, we walked through most of the downstairs and just a few exhibits upstairs. Plenty for little girls, really. If Dad came with us, he would have loved the war memorabilia.
